We have mandrel bending machine, TIG/MIG welding facilities and also an
in-house chassis dynamometer to monitor the performance of the exhaust

Firstly, the original
stock extractor is removed and the mounting position is measured
precisely.
Then, the pre-bent stainless steel elbows will be arranged to get the
best travel length and also the best outlet angle so that the
exhaust air can travel smoothly after the combustion chambers. |

Depending on the
requirement, the thermo wrap will be used to keep the hot air away from
the
engine bay.
The Lambda sensor will be installed back to the extractor.
Now, start the engine
and feel the difference!! |

STAGE 2: CUSTOM STAINLESS STEEL CAT BACK EXHAUST SYSTEM |
|
|
|
The original
stock exhaust system, from catalytic converter backwards till the
muffler tip will be measured carefully.All
details will be recorded, such as bending angles, mounting position,
ground clearance etc. This is
to ensure the new stainless steel exhaust will be fitted nicely to the
original
mounting position, matched perfectly with the stock catalytic converter
or extractor. In other words, it is not just a custom
made cat back system, it is also a bolt-on kit which allows
future up-grading. |

From the dyno chart, the project car Hyundai Accent 1.5 fitted with the
custom made SUPERSTREET
stainless steel extractor matched with the cat back muffler kit from the
same company, recorded 83.0 hp
on wheels. Compared to the stock exhaust system which produces 75.7 hp,
this is 7.3 hp or 9.6% increases in horse power!!
Even
though the maximum torque increased slightly from 108.5 Nm to 113.9 Nm,
but we re-distribute
the torque curve,
so that the maximum torque kicks in evenly from 2800 rpm onwards
to about 5300 rpm.This is particularly useful in daily city driving, and
the torque comes in anytime when required during overtaking. |
